The third paper of the morning was led by Carla Plaza Vera, head of the Press Office Alicante Red Cross. This degree in Public Relations and Advertising is in charge of coordinating corporate communications generated by this NGO in the province.
priorities include Red Cross, Vera pointed to "sensitize society on the principles of the organization and to convey the institutional commitment to the most vulnerable" under the principles of neutrality and impartiality since the objective of this NGO is to serve people in need.
Vera has also indicated that "communication work for an NGO is required when calling for transparency in the organization." However, recognizing how complicated it is to provide all information and resources to the media because of the immediacy they need them. It further stressed the importance of the media as part of the string that is intended to inform citizens and that, according to press officer Alicante Red Cross, "if the events do not appear in the media, do not exist."
Finally, Vera wanted to point out how important the reporter's responsibility for communicating the information more accurate and less stereotypical. Be strict and avoid the vocabulary linked to prejudice, are the weapons of good reporter who will not fail to commitment to the reader.
